In an attempt to find her and understand why Natty has disappeared, Dado reflects on the past year of their lives, in which their youngest son was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The shocking news underscored the difference in attitude between the couple, the challenges of parenting, and the difficulty of accepting their child exactly as he is. With a lot of humor, the show disarms all the mines surrounding the diagnosis of a child with ASD, and emphasizes the values of accepting differences, as well as the importance of open communication and unconditional love. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Short Circuit<\/span><\/i> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is an intimate show, in which the audience takes an active part in the couple\u2019s journey.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/876169453?h=f87f85d69d&amp;dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"728\" height=\"410\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><b>Noa Lazar-Keinan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a playwright and screenwriter. She holds a BA from the Multidisciplinary Program in the Arts at Tel Aviv University, and is a graduate of the Yoram Loewenstein Acting Studio. Author of the blog \u201cThis is not what I was promised\u201d in the daily <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Haaretz<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Her plays include <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Short Circuit<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Beer Sheva Theatre, 2022), which was invited to WeltB\u00fchne Festival at the Residenz Theatre Munich (2023), and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bertod and Agnes<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Habima National Theatre, 2019), and Estonian Drama Theatre-Tallinn, (2022\/23). Her short play <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Memory Game<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was part of an international collaboration between Habima and the D\u00fcsseldorfer Schauspielhaus (2009). Her plays for youth: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dreams of Others <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Itamar \u2013 The First Hebrew Child<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Ronnie Brodetzky<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a director and writer. She graduated from Kibbutzim College of Education, Technology and the Arts (Directing), and from Tel Aviv University\u2019s Interdisciplinary Arts Program (MA). She is a recipient of the 2020 Rosenblum Performing Arts Award. Her works: at The Cameri Theatre of Tel Aviv, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Birthday Candles<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Heidel) and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hubeza<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Keret) with The Revolution Orchestra; at Haifa Theatre, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aquarium<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 young actors lip sync elderly people in a swimming pool, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How to Get Up From A Chair <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 an original play based on instructional YouTube videos, and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Circus of Jews<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (an adaptation of Englander); at Salzburger LandesTheater, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aquarium<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1000 Tutorials<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; and at Tzavta Theatre: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Typing&#8230;.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 a play based on original WhatsApp conversations.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the middle of the day, Dado, a successful children\u2019s author, receives a message from his wife Natty that she isn\u2019t coming home today.
